NEEM SARKEZ

Neem Sarkez is a Libyan-American contemporary artist known for paintings, sculptures, and mixed media works that fuse pop culture imagery with sociopolitical symbolism in an aesthetic she describes as “Arab kitsch.” She is a 2023 Martin Wong Award recipient whose work is held in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Sarkez lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
